During onboarding, we run a short control test with your battery to set up automatic battery control. Certain battery settings, like schedules, limits, or special modes, can prevent this test from running or completing.
The steps below can help remove common settings that may be getting in the way.

1KOMMA5°BETA
- Log in to the 1KOMMA5° Cloud app or portal
- Select your Site / Plant
- Open Energy Storage or Battery
- Open Work Mode or Operation Mode
- Set Mode to Self-Use or Self-Consumption (label may vary)
Then check
- Open Time of Use, Schedule, or Charge/Discharge Settings

Ensure there are no active charge or discharge time periods
Turn off any:
- Timed Charge
- Timed Discharge
- Export-priority modes (if shown)
AlphaESS
- Log in to AlphaESS portal
- Open Basic Settings > System Setup
- Ensure these Charge/ Discharge settings are unchecked
- Grid Charging Battery
- Battery Discharge Time Control
AnkerBETA
- Log in to the Anker app
- Select your SOLIX battery system
- Open Energy Settings or Work Mode (name may vary)
- Set Battery mode to Self-Consumption (or equivalent)
Then check
- Open Time of Use or Schedule (if shown)
- Ensure there are no active charge or discharge time periods
EnphaseBETA
- Open the Enphase Enlighten app.
- Go to Menu > Settings > Profile.
- Tap Edit next to System profile.
- Choose a simpler profile like Self-Consumption (avoid Savings or export-focused behaviour while onboarding), then save.
FoxESSBETA
- Log in to the FoxESS Cloud app or portal
- Select your Site / Plant
- Open Energy Storage or Battery
- Open Work Mode or Operation Mode
- Set Mode to Self-Use or Self-Consumption (label may vary)
Then check
- Open Time of Use, Schedule, or Charge/Discharge Settings

Turn off any:
- Timed Charge
- Timed Discharge
- Export-priority modes (if shown)
Fronius
Fronius battery control is often installer-managed, but if you do have a schedule set up:
- Open Fronius Solar.web (web or app).
- Look for battery control settings related to time-of-use / time-dependent control.
- Disable any battery charging or discharging schedule, then save.
If you can’t see battery control settings in Solar.web, that usually means they’re not available to you in your setup.
GivEnergyBETA
Portal
- Go to the GivEnergy Monitoring Portal and sign in.
- On the dashboard, click My Inverter.
- Open System Mode Settings.
- Disable any Timed Charge / Timed Discharge / Timed Export schedules, then save.
App
- Open the GivEnergy app.
- Go to Battery Settings.
- Turn off any scheduled charging controls (e.g Start/End Time style timed charging), then save.
Neovolt
- Log in to Neovolt portal
- Open Basic Settings > System Setup
- Ensure these Charge/ Discharge settings are unchecked
- Grid Charging Battery
- Battery Discharge Time Control
Redback
- Log in to the Redback portal.
- Click the Settings icon on the homepage.
- Scroll to the Inverter section.
- Select Schedule.
- Disable or delete any schedules (charge, discharge, import, export, conserve), then save.
Sigenergy
- Open SigenCloud or mySigen.
- Go to Current Mode (or Settings > Operational Mode).
- If the currently selected mode does not say "VPP Scheduling-amber", attempt to select the "VPP Scheduling-amber" mode, then save.
- If Time-based Control / Schedule Energy is enabled, disable it (or remove schedules), then save.
SolarEdge
- Open mySolarEdge.
- Tap the battery icon.
- Tap Battery Mode.
- If Time of Use is enabled, switch away from it (or disable the Time of Use schedule), then save.
Note: Some SolarEdge battery mode access can be restricted by site configuration or installer permissions, so you may not see these options.
Sungrow
- Open iSolarCloud and open your plant.
- Go to Device.
- Tap Energy Storage System (battery).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Energy Management Parameters.
- Disable or clear any charge and discharge time periods, then save.
Tesla
- Open the Tesla app.
- Go to Energy.
- Tap Settings.
- Open Powerwall.
- Under Operational Mode, select Self-Powered (so it’s not being driven by a schedule).
- Optional: review Advanced Settings and turn off export-focused options if they’re enabled in your setup (these can vary by provider).
