How do I transfer my account name / change account name to another person?

Follow

You may want to transfer, switch or change the account name to another name if you're moving out (e.g. moving out of a property, but housemates are staying), or if you'd just like your partner / companion to take over the account.

Note, there is the option to add a secondary account holder instead. The secondary account holder will receive copies of your invoice, but won't be named on the bill and won't have a separate login.

If you'd still like to proceed with transferring / switching primary account holders, follow the steps below:

  1. The new account holder should create a new account with Amber - they can do so by downloading the Amber app and clicking 'Sign up online'
    • 'Your connection address' needs to match the existing connection address
  2. The current account holder should e-mail the following information to info@amber.com.au
    • Current account holder's:
      • Name
      • Date of birth
      • Address
      • Date of move-out / account transfer
    • New account holder's:
      • Name
      • Date of birth
      • E-mail address
