This is an experimental feature that's part of SmartShift Labs. You can turn it on or off anytime.
Earnings Optimiser Plus
Earnings Optimiser Plus is a more active version of Earnings Optimiser mode. It acts on smaller earning opportunities (narrower gaps between low and high prices) so your battery trades more often through the day.
Who it's for
Customers already on Earnings Optimiser who want their battery working harder to chase more earning opportunities. It's experimental and opt-in, part of SmartShift Labs.
What to expect
- More frequent trading
- More battery movement, your battery works harder and cycles more than on standard Earnings Optimiser
- It can earn more on some days, though results vary by setup, some sites see a clear gain, many see little change
What to know
- It works your battery harder. Over time, more cycling is something to weigh up for your own setup.
- Earnings aren't guaranteed. It's a more active strategy, not a promise of higher returns.
- There's more risk on days you use more than forecast, your battery may have less in reserve.
How to find it?
Open the Amber app, head to Devices, then SmartShift settings, and tap SmartShift Labs.
Turning it off
Switch it off anytime to return to standard Earnings Optimiser, which still works to earn you the most from the bigger opportunities. Switching to Battery Booster turns it off too, since Plus runs on top of Earnings Optimiser.
What happens when the test ends
Earnings Optimiser Plus is a SmartShift Labs experimental feature. If it graduates, it will become part of SmartShift's new battery settings as a more active mode. We'll let you know if that happens.
