All Amber customers are now on Core. plan. Core gives you access to wholesale electricity pricing, so your rates reflect the live cost of energy rather than a fixed retail rate.

Please note:

As of July 1 2026, the Carbon Neutral plan has been phased out, with Greenpower cost decreasing, it’s the best way to support renewable generation for your energy use in Australia.


GreenPower

What is GreenPower?

GreenPower is an optional add‑on that matches your grid electricity use with government‑accredited renewable energy, for an extra fee on top of your usual usage charges.


How do I add GreenPower?

From July 1, 2026, GreenPower can be added and removed from within the Amber App.

  • Go to Settings > Manage your plan.
  • Tick the Add GreenPower checkbox, then tap Confirm changes.
  • A confirmation screen will appear — tap Yes, add GreenPower to lock it in. GreenPower will be added to your bill 

How long does it take to add GreenPower?

Changes may take up to 7 days to process. You'll see a "pending" status on your Settings page while it's being applied.

Once you confirm, we’ll send your GreenPower change to our team. It can take up to 7 days to process. You’ll see the change on your bill from your next billing cycle.”


How do I remove GreenPower?

  • Go to Settings > Manage your plan.
  • Untick the GreenPower checkbox, tap Confirm changes, then tap Yes, remove GreenPower.

Same as adding — it may take up to 7 days to process.


What happens after I remove GreenPower?

Your electricity use will no longer be matched with accredited renewable electricity.

The change will show as pending in your settings until it's processed, which can take up to 7 days.


How do I know if my change is still being processed?

Head to Settings. If your change is in progress, you'll see a pending label next to your plan or GreenPower status.


Can I add and remove GreenPower as often as I like?

You can make changes at any time, but you can only add or remove GreenPower once per billing cycle.
