What is Amber for Batteries?

Amber for Batteries combines SmartShift™, Amber’s automation and control technology with our wholesale pricing model, to optimise your solar & battery. The goal? To minimise your electricity costs and accelerate Australia's shift to 100% renewable energy.

Amber for Batteries currently saves our customers $300 - $1300 a year!

Amber for Batteries is currently compatible with the following eligible devices:

• Tesla Powerwall 2 & 3
• SolarEdge batteries with a SolarEdge inverter/s
• LG Chem/RESU 10H with a SolarEdge inverter/s
• AlphaESS - serial number starting with AL (inverter module) (please note, we're not compatible with serial numbers beginning with ALPxxx or 9xxx)
• Hive - same considerations apply as above. The Hive battery is a re-branded AlphaESS
• REA POWER - same considerations apply as above. The REA POWERBANK is a re-branded AlphaESS
• BYD HVM or HVS series battery, with a Fronius Primo or Symo GEN24 series inverter
• Sungrow - please see this FAQ for a breakdown of compatible setups 
• Redback batteries
• Sigenergy batteries and inverters with a “Sigen Sensor” or “Sigen Gateway”
• Neovolt batteries
• Fronius - for solar curtailment only
